Structural bioinformatics in the T-cell receptor / peptide / MHC interface

This talk will give a summary of different techniques which can be used to investigate the binding interface between the T-cell receptor (TCR) and the peptide/MHC complex. First an immunological introduction will be given explaining the importance of this interface. Then a short introduction about immuno-informatics techniques and molecular dynamics simulations will flow. The talk will be concluded by two short success stories of interdisciplinary co-operations in this area. The first story will be about the influence of peptide lengths on HLA-DR and the second one about altered peptide ligands in experimental allergic encephalomyelitis (EAE).
